The Snug
A cosy detached cottage perfect for a relaxing retreat
Many years ago The Snug was a haybarn - now it’s a cosy modern cottage
which comfortably sleeps up to 3 people (2 adults and 1 child/infant).
We are also very happy to welcome 1 dog in the cottage.
It’s a bit of a topsy-turvy house! The kitchen and living area are upstairs to
take advantage of the lovely views. Whilst downstairs you’ll find the bedroom
and bathroom.
The cottage is fully double-glazed, has central heating and free Wi-fi.
Living Area
The bright open-plan living area is upstairs and has exposed wooden
floorboards and a ‘Paris balcony’ providing lovely views down the lane
towards the sea.
There’s a 43” smart TV and bluetooth stereo. On the dresser you’ll find a
good selection of books and games - everything you need to coorie in, relax,
and enjoy your break!
There’s a double sofa bed, perfect for a child.
Kitchen/Diner
Also situated upstairs, this is a bright space with everything you need to
create and enjoy delicious meals: a pine table & seating; an electric cooker
and hob; dishwasher; large fridge/freezer; washer-dryer; microwave; kettle;
toaster; nespresso coffee maker and plenty of pots/pans/dishes.
Bedroom
This is on the ground floor, and is a really cosy room with a comfortable king
sized bed and plenty of pillows and comfy blankets. There is also a smart TV,
large wardrobe, chest of drawers, and space for a travel cot.
Travel cot, stair gate and high-chair available on request.
Bathroom
Just along the hall from the bedroom is the bathroom. Here you can enjoy a
relaxing bath (especially welcome on one of our ‘rare’ wet Scottish days!).
There is also an over-bath shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and electric
shaver point.
Shed
Tucked round the back of the cottage is a wee shed for your use, ideal for
storing bikes and other outdoor gear (if you’d like to lock the shed, please
bring your own padlock).
Parking: Please note that the Snug doesn’t have a parking space, but
guests are welcome to use the the large well-lit layby at the foot of
Trinity Lane (approx 20 metres from the cottage). Of course, you are
welcome to drive up the lane to load/unload!
